The Nurses Recruitment and Retention Fund offers many opportunities for nurses to relocate to Manitoba. If eligible, you could receive up to $5,000 reimbursement toward your moving expenses.

Eligible nurses must agree to a 12 month return of service commitment in a permanent or term position (0.6 EFT or higher) for above grant. For more information visit www.manitoba.ca/health/nurses for more information

Internationally Educated Applicants

Qualified international applicants are encouraged to apply for positions in Ste. Rose Health Centre. The process to immigrate here does require some time and effort. Your eligibility for employment depends on your occupational group, qualifications, and current Citizenship and Immigration (CIC) status, and Human Resources Skills Development Canada regulations (HRSDC).

Permanent Residency Status through the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program

The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) is a government immigration program that selects skilled workers who demonstrate they have the potential and the desire to immigrate and settle themselves and their families in the Province of Manitoba.

In summary, the MPNP accepts applications from skilled workers who can make a positive contribution to Manitoba’s economy and society as permanent residents. This requires:

  • Education and training
  • Work experience
  • Enough knowledge of English or French to start a job soon after arrival
  • A connection to Manitoba (for example, friends or family or current employment)
  • Settlement supports (enough money to maintain yourself and your family while you are becoming established)
  • An intention to settle permanently in Manitoba
